My most well-loved illustration, the Cork City Circle tells the story of the River Lee as it splits in two for a short distance forming an Island, the heart of the city. The Island takes centre stage in this illustration, depicting some of Corks most well-loved buildings and landmarks, with the Lee ebbing and flowing around it. Corks iconic bridges cross the Lee showcasing Corks splendid architecture along the outer circle of the illustration.
Carefully capturing the character of Cork City, the illustration features the pink granite of St. Patrick’s Street footpaths, alongside the grey limestone and red sandstone that define much of the city's timeless charm.
Originally created for my debut exhibition ‘The Places We All Know’ at St. Peter’s Cork in 2019, this vibrant piece was brought to life using watercolour pencils, graphite, and gouache.
Each fine art print is produced on Perma Jet Matt Plus 240gsm paper, ensuring beautiful colour and detail — a lasting tribute to the place we call home.
