Cork City Tea Towel
Printed on cotton fabric, with a handy little tag for hanging it up. This tea towel would also look great framed. It is light and makes a nice gift to post abroad.
My most well-loved illustration, the Cork City Circle tells the story of the River Lee as it splits in two for a short distance forming an Island, the heart of the city. The Island takes centre stage in this illustration, depicting some of Corks most well-loved buildings and landmarks, with the Lee ebbing and flowing around it. Corks iconic bridges cross the Lee showcasing Corks splendid architecture along the outer circle of the illustration. The illustration captures the pink granites that form the footpaths along St Patrick’s Street to the beautiful grey limestones and red sandstones that form much of our beloved city.
The Cork Circle was created for Fiona’s debut exhibition ‘The places we all know’ in St.Peter’s Cork in 2019.
This vibrant illustration is taken from my original art work created using watercolour pencils, graphite pencils and gouache paint.
